A good start. I'd get rid of that hi sodium soup.

I think salt in soup is partly the preservative, you'd think that since sodium and high blood pressure are linked Campbells would kind of tone it down on the salt, but I guess they all want us to have an aneurysm.

Most canned food in general is bad news. And you pay through the nose for "Healthy" canned foods. Unless you're canning yourself of course.

Unless Andy lives to age 200, he'll probably have food in his will...

Alright you guys, who's been in my basement?

Actually, the photos really do look a lot like my Stockpile Room, except that my shelves are wooden and I don't have much in the way of Campbell's soups. (I'm a big fan of making homemade soups.)

I had to laugh when I saw this thread, as I was sitting here this morning going over my stockpile inventory list and thinking that I should start a thread regarding emergency food, supplies, and menus.

And yes, I really do have a typed inventory in a three-ring binder:

Three pages of food, including amounts
Two pages of under the heading of "health" which includes everything from bandaids and peroxide to spare eyeglasses and antibiotics.
One page of toiletries ( shampoo, toothpaste & floss, razors, lotion, etc.)
One page for cleansers (hand, laundry, & dish soap, bleach, vinegar, etc.)
One page for "paper" goods, which for me includes tp, napkins, paper cups & bowls & plates, plastic silverware, zip lock bags, trash bags, and whatnot.
One page for the animals (cat/dog food collars, flea treatments)
One page for "safety" (guns, ammo, tazers, fire extinguishers, smoke & burglar alarms, de-icer, co2 alarm, you get the idea)
One page for "Cooking" which includes everything necessary to prepare food no matter what the circumstances.
One page for 'Heat" (firewood, lighter fluid, propane, propane heaters, chainsaws, etc etc)
Another page just for "Light" which includes our flashlights, batteries, battery chargers, lanterns, mantles, fuel, solar lights, candles, and the rest.
One page labeled "water" which covers bottled water, water filters, water barrels, jerry jugs, more bleach, and even a porta-potty and a new gutter/catchment system I want to build next spring.
I also have pages entitled "Transportation" (everything from bikes to cars), "Garden," "Food preserving" (canning, drying, processing), "Clothes," "Vices" (liquor, tobacco), "Barter Items", "Household Misc" including mousetraps, roach killer, treadle sewing machine, and whatnot, "Camping Gear", and "Communication" (walkie talkies, cb radio, battery operated radio & tv, etc.)
I made up my lists on spreadsheets with columns to keep track of what I currently have, what I need, and how many meals I can prepare with what's on hand. Under my "General Information section I have printed copies of many many GIM posts, how-to tips, and miscellaneous information that I may want later but might not be able to access without internet service.

It was a bit time-consuming to organize and make the lists, but once it was done I found that they are easy to update (use a pencil), I always know exactly what I have on hand, and when I have a little extra money it only takes me a few minutes to scan my lists and decide where the extra money should go.

They look well prepared! I started buying jars but never got around to canning and I really need to do that. We have a large house but have storage issues because we don't have a basement. My kitchen pantry is full (it's a walk-in) and then we're storing stuff in the bedroom closets. Would love to have a big basement though.

I think they really are from ImaCannin. One day...maybe, but right now I only have one can of old beans.

Meh...not to take away from the OP - that's a pretty cool food store... and I'll never nitpick about what foods someone wants to collect...

If there's one thing I overdid when I had the chance, it was food preps.

I may run out of some things, but foodstuffs ain't gonna be one of them. I have to say that prepping all that food for storage is one of the most enjoyable, gratifying activities I have undertaken since I became a member of this board. I am definitely going to pass along what I learned here to as many as I can.

I need more room. I have completely filled a closet.

Damnit, I need shelves.
